Speech Language Pathologist

Camille Calhoun is a 2021 graduate of Valdosta State University where she earned a Bachelor and Master of Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association as well as the Georgia Speech and Hearing Association. A native of South Georgia, Camille grew up in rural Colquitt County.
After completing an externship at Speech Therapy Services P.C. in December of 2020 and an internship at Potter Street Elementary in April of 2021, Camille joined Speech Therapy Services P.C. in June of 2021. Joining the team of therapists provided Camille with the fulfillment of a dream that she has had since beginning her studies in speech pathology. Her goal and passion is to greatly improve each patient’s life by developing and implementing individual treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Camille has experience serving a diverse population from toddlers to geriatrics in diverse settings. She has experience serving patients in long-term care facilities, hosptials, daycares and in the private practice. In addition, her experience includes serving pediatric patients with phonological disorders, articulation disorders, autism spectrum disorder, apraxia, and severe developmental delays. She also has experience evaluating and treating adult patients who have suffered with stroke, dysarthria, apraxia, traumatic brain injury, dysphagia, and aphasia.
Camille is a firm believer that the therapist and caregiver should function as a team unit. It gives her great joy and comfort to see her patients achieve milestones as they progress. Her ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life of each patient.
Camille is married to Colt Calhoun and together they reside in Colquitt, Georgia. In June of 2022 they will welcome their first child. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, being outdoors, and relaxing at the beach.
