Samantha Wilkin is Administrator and Managing Therapist of Speech Therapy Services, P.C. She has practiced speech pathology since 1994 after earning a Bachelor and Master of Education with an emphasis in Communication Disorders from Valdosta State University. A native of Southwest Georgia, Samantha holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and licensure from the Georgia Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology. Samantha is proud to be a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association as well as the Georgia Speech and Hearing Association.

Throughout her career in speech language pathology, Samantha has worked with a variety of patients ranging from infancy to geriatric populations in daycares, schools, home health, hospitals, long-term care facilities and in our private clinic. She has experience working with articulation and phonological delay, language delay, augmentative alternative communication, acute stroke, traumatic brain injury, dysarthria, apraxia, autism spectrum disorder and dysphagia. She has training and extensive experience in Modified Barium Swallow Studies, Vital Stim treatments, tracheostomy and working with ventilator-dependent patients. She has worked with patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Gillian Barre, Myasthenia Gravis, laryngectomy, Passy Muir speaking valves, vocal nodules, vocal cord paralysis, head and neck cancer, cerebral palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Alzheimer’s and dementia.

After joining Speech Therapy Services, P.C. in 1995 on a part-time basis while still working in a school setting, it did not take long for Samantha to realize her passion for treating patients and clients of all ages and disorders. She soon joined the practice full-time and never looked back. She enjoys being part of a team of dedicated professionals and having the opportunity to work in multiple clinical settings for over 25 years.

Samantha is married to Chris and together they have four daughters and two grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.
