Penny Harris has 25 years of experience working as speech language pathologist. For all 25 years she has worked with the pediatric population, and 16 of those years with adults also in a variety of settings.
A native of Camilla, Georgia, Penny graduated from Valdosta State University with a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and is licensed by the Georgia Board of Speech-Language Pathology.
Penny has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient rehabilitation, home health, and her own private practice for 11 years. She also served as Director of Rehabilitation at Mitchell County Hospital for 3 years.
Although she enjoys all aspects of speech-language pathology, her heart is most happy when working with children. She considers it a blessing to work in a profession she continues to love as much as she did the first day she started.
Penny has 4 children and 4 grandchildren. She enjoys cooking, singing, gardening, and going to the beach.
